OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 5, 2018) – Jan Dunkin, executive vice president of client services at CMSWillowbrook,  received the 2017 Builder of the Year award at the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Oklahoma’s annual meeting. She is the second female to ever receive the honor.

“To receive this award is quite an achievement, and historically even harder for a woman in the industry,” said Cary DeHart, CEO of CMSWillowbrook. “Jan has been a key part of driving our company forward. I’m pleased her peers recognize her talent and excellence as well.”

Dunkin is a nationally Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through the Construction Management Association of America. Female CCMs make up less than seven percent of all construction managers in the country.

“I have met very few people in my lifetime who enjoy their occupation as much as I do,” said Dunkin as she accepted the award. “Thank you to my family, peers and the team at CMSWillowbrook. It is a privilege working with each of you.”

Dunkin came to CMSWillowbrook in 1995 after her family moved back to Chickasha from out of state.

In her 23 years with the company, CMSWillowbrook has grown from a small, local firm whose annual revenue was less than $5 million to a large, statewide company with three offices and annual revenues of over $130 million.

Before coming to CMSWillowbrook, Dunkin’s history was in manufacturing, sales and development.

She has supported the AGC of Oklahoma for over two decades and has served on its board of directors.

The Builder of the Year award is a lifetime achievement award. Recipients are inducted in to the Oklahoma Builders Hall of Fame.

CMSWillowbrook took home two 2017 Build Oklahoma Awards for the new arenas and improvements at the Grady County Fairgrounds and a new Ditch Witch dealership in Oklahoma City.
