Dale Smith wins ASA of OK GC Job superintendent of the year award
Recognized as a leader in his construction management, Dale Smith of Willowbrook was voted Superintendent of the Year by the American Subcontractors Association of Oklahoma (ASA of OK). He was honored recently at the ASA annual gala in Oklahoma City.
“What a great honor,” said Smith, who has earned 45 years in construction, with 17 years as a senior superintendent for Willowbrook, a full-service construction company in Oklahoma. “I’m grateful to earn this award. This is a nomination from subcontractors we work with and we are voted on by them. We aim to serve our clients with the best possible outcomes and safety.”
The mission of ASA of OK is to promote and develop the fair representation of the construction industry subcontractors and vendors through advocacy and education. The ASA holds its annual gala to celebrate excellence in construction.
Smith manages projects from inception to completion while making sure safety is the No. 1 priority on the jobsite. Dale has been building several projects for Deer Creek Public Schools recently including the New Knight Ridge Elementary, New Transition Center and Deer Creek Schools New 4th and 5th Grade Center. One of Dale’s favorites is the Transition Center located on the high school campus. This unique facility is geared towards special needs students teaching them life and leadership skills with a mock living, kitchen, dining, bedroom space, classroom space and a laundry room.
“Our people devote themselves to producing great results for our clients,” said Willowbrook President Weston DeHart. “We’re proud of Dale’s work and the way he collaborates with others to produce results.”
