Rosebrough will train new building superintendents in Tulsa

Rising builders in the Tulsa area will learn from one of Oklahoma’s best builders as Gary Rosebrough has been selected by the Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGC of OK) to teach its construction superintendent training series. The comprehensive 10-course program is designed specifically for aspiring superintendents.

The program features laying the foundation for success as a construction superintendent, plan reading, creating efficient schedules, organization and management strategies, construction law and navigating contract documents, building knowledge and methods to project challenges, gain expertise in cost and estimating control, safety and quality control, and staying up to date with current trends and innovations in the construction industry.

Rosebrough has 34 years total construction experience with 12 years as senior superintendent for Willowbrook, a full-service construction company in Tulsa. He has extensive experience managing multimillion-dollar projects in the commercial construction industry. His experience includes municipal, medical, educational and multifamily developments. Gary recently worked on Bixby Public Schools West Elementary and Intermediate School, City of Pryor New Emergency Services, City of Pryor Library and museum renovation, Tahlequah Public Schools Cherokee Elementary Addition, and Tulsa Housing Authority multifamily development.

Rosebrough manages projects from inception to completion with stringent deadlines all while making sure safety is the No. 1 priority on his jobsites.

“Gary Rosebrough was selected for his robust resume and reputation,” said Douglas Tapp, CEO of the AGC of OK. “Gary is talented and capable, and he’s willing to share that knowledge, which serves the whole industry in Oklahoma.”

“Teaching and mentoring others is something we at Willowbrook consider to be extremely valuable to our company,” said Angelo Bradford, who serves as president of the AGC of OK and vice president of operations at Willowbrook. “Gary has always gone out of his way to teach those he was working with on his projects whether it’s a younger or less experienced Willowbrook employee or even a trade contractor just getting started in the industry. We are incredibly proud to have one of our own devoting time to the industry in this meaningful way.”

Rosebrough is enthusiastic about his new role as instructor for this program.

“As the AGC searched for a candidate to teach its program in Tulsa, I immediately felt a strong desire to be involved,” Rosebrough said. “Sharing my own experiences and knowledge to shape the future of the construction industry is something I am truly passionate about.”
