Willowbrook Project Challenge Brings Hope to the Salvation Army

The collaboration between The Salvation Army and Willowbrook (formerly CMSWillowbrook) continues, extending Love Beyond Christmas to those experiencing hardships. The Salvation Army of Grady and Caddo Counties delivers a range of essential services, including utility assistance, youth programming, disaster aid, food pantry services, Christmas assistance, and more.

In 2020, Willowbrook (a full-service construction company founded in Chickasha, OK) initiated a Christmas competition aimed at fostering generosity among its employees and subcontractors. The competition involved various jobsites around Oklahoma competing to raise funds for The Salvation Army. Now in its fourth year, the competition, running from just after Thanksgiving to this past Friday, successfully garnered thousands of dollars from Willowbrook employees, subcontractors, and partners. Thanks to a generous matching contribution from the company, a total of $20,000 was raised. All proceeds from this initiative will be directed towards supporting the programs and services offered by The Salvation Army of Grady and Caddo Counties, headquartered in Chickasha.

The Page Woodson Development jobsite, in Oklahoma City, won the competition and will receive a catered lunch from Willowbrook. A total of 10 Willowbrook jobsites across Oklahoma participated in the challenge.

The Page Woodson Project Manager, Zach Parnell, states, “We are very honored to partner up with Salvation Army each year to support this great cause. It’s amazing to see the awareness this competition raises and the overwhelming generosity of our company partners. We hope their contributions make an immediate impact for all the families in need.”

“It’s been another successful year teaming up with The Salvation Army. I couldn’t be happier with the show of generosity from our jobsites,” said Cory Pivniska Willowbrook Project Director.

“Lt. Bobby McFarland, Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army in Chickasha, expressed, "It is truly a blessing to collaborate with a company that genuinely seeks to make a positive impact in their local community. The outcomes from this remarkable challenge will bring life-changing assistance to numerous individuals. As we plan to introduce new programs for children and those in need in 2024, the continued robust support from the community is crucial for The Salvation Army. We extend our gratitude for the generosity and leadership demonstrated by Willowbrook., its employees, and subcontractors!"
