CAMPUS RENOVATIONS, ADDITIONS, & IMPROVEMENTS
The Rose State college campus consists of 25 buildings over 120 acres in Midwest City, OK less than a mile from Tinker Air Force Base. The communities of Midwest City and Del City approved a $22 million bond issue in March of 2013 to modernize and update many of the buildings on campus as well as an information technology infrastructure overhaul, including a data center backup generator, for the entire campus. Some of the building improvements include a complete renovation of the Aquatic Center, ADA compliant restrooms, and an interior finishes update of all classroom buildings, locker room renovations, a roof replacement and other miscellaneous improvements throughout campus.
The largest renovation was for the Learning Resources Center (LRC) which was completely gutted and rebuilt with a 15,000-square-foot addition which includes a cafe and coffee bar to provide a learning environment fit for the 21st century.
