Oklahoma National Guard Dedicates New Facility

ARDMORE - The dedication and ribbon cutting for the new Ardmore Readiness Center will take place on Monday, December 16, at 10:00 a.m. The facility is located at 3245 Prairie Valley Road, in Ardmore.
The facility, which was designed to meet LEED Silver certification requirements, at a minimum, was built by CMSWillowbrook in partnership with the architecture firm GSB, Inc. The building is more than 82,000 square feet and sits on a nearly 50 acre land parcel. In addition to meeting all federal guidelines for sustainability, the readiness center also meets today’s force protection/ anti-terrorism requirements.
Construction of the $22 million facility was approved in 2017 by the Oklahoma Military Department, in partnership with the State of Oklahoma’s Construction and Properties Division. It is expected to have a lifecycle of 50 years.
More than 300 Oklahoma Army National Guard Soldiers will utilize the facility for training and equipment maintenance as they work to defend our state and nation.
“With the dedication of this new readiness center, Ardmore’s long tradition of National Guard service will continue,” said Maj. Gen. Michael Thompson, the adjutant general for Oklahoma.
“We are excited to be back in Ardmore and we are looking forward to our shared future.”
